Port-to-Door delivery system
1. Port Arrival & Terminal Coordination
Freight Forwarders handle customs and terminal clearance. Once containers are grounded or released, Intervex coordinates immediate pickup through pre-scheduled port appointments, ensuring efficient gate-out and chassis utilization.
2. Forwarder Documentation & Release Confirmation
All documentation, holds, and DO releases are managed by the Freight Forwarder.
Intervex mobilizes assets only once containers are fully cleared and free time confirmed, protecting your client from demurrage and unexpected charges.
3. Drayage (Port to Rail, Ramp, or Depot)
Using our tri-axle chassis and dedicated assets, Intervex executes drayage to rail ramps, transload sites, or storage depots.
Real-time tracking and dispatch oversight ensure cutoffs are met and communication stays transparent throughout.
4. Inland Transportation (Rail or Over-the-Road)
Depending on service needs, freight moves via intermodal rail or direct truckload.
Sensitive, bonded, or government shipments are handled under chain-of-custody controls with GPS-monitored visibility.
5. Final Drayage / Last-Mile Delivery
Containers or trailers are recovered and delivered to final destinations — whether a distribution center, manufacturing site, or military installation.
Our final-mile teams coordinate with consignee contacts for seamless drop or live unload.
6. Unloading & Equipment Return
Once delivery is complete, Intervex manages returns to the proper terminal or pool to avoid detention, per diem, or chassis fees.
Forwarders receive full POD documentation and status updates in real time for record-keeping and billing accuracy.
